The success of this business is strongly dependent on the development, execution, and commercialization of the suite of cash management and payment products. The role will manage strategic initiatives and will assist in developing and implementing GPS product performance and strategies, ensuring alignment with global GPS product standards and propositions. The jobholder will work within a matrixed organization to deliver critical infrastructure, project deliverables and client solutions - serving as a key subject matter expert in a continuously evolving competitive and regulatory landscape.
We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Senior Vice President Product Management, GPS Indonesia.
The role covers GPS cash management products (Payments, Receivables and Liquidity) with entity reporting to Country Head of GPS and functional reporting to Regional Head of Product Asia Pacific.
The jobholder will also work closely with the Digital and E-Channel product executive to prioritize GPS channel investments and with regional product executives to execute and commercialize local and regional product strategy. The jobholder will also work closely with local and regional stakeholders in successfully driving a sustainable operating model for all GPS products with a keen eye on risk management. In our current environment the GPS Product Management operating model is regional with a requirement for a Global governance structure.
Responsibilities:
From the Impact to Business and clients/stakeholder, this job function is to:
- Deliver financial target in the form on net fee income and net interest income from liabilities and deliver volume commitment from various products.
- Drive product commercialization to both internal and external parties. Promote GPS through various media/channels.
- Provide overall direction to local, regional and from time to time global to formulate short and long-term product strategies leveraging on insight and clarity of regional and local customer needs, payment trend, and the regulatory environment.
- Define and drive regional and global innovations.
- Align and prioritize IT Investment requirements for Indonesia, obtain funding for key investments.
- Drive local product management for product rationalization.
- Drive improvements in business profitability through the implementation of standardized metric-based management process covering all aspects of product performance including cost accounting and risk management.
- Develop and drive specific commercialization activities creating tools to support sales and client service teams in educating and marketing of our global product capabilities.
- Provide a consistent approach to implementing tariffs.
- Oversee development and execution of a product-centric market analysis to determine long term product strategies affecting client buying behavior, competitors, and to anticipate shifts in the market.
- Driving effective interaction across organizational boundaries, including regional product, sales, client services, marketing, operations, IT, Legal, and Compliance to deliver optimized customer experiences.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with the external stakeholders, e.g., partner organizations, industry associations, customers, competitors, regulators etc. to ensure that our strategy remains relevant and effective.
And from Teamwork and Leadership perspective, jobholder is task to:
- Define and supervise product planning discipline and infrastructure – gaining buy-in from local and regional stakeholders across functions.
- Manage and oversee Product management related collateral which adapts to a complex and constantly evolving environment.
- Manage coverage groups and accordingly execute our product programs in support of their local and regional client requirements.
- Lead GPS product plans and communications.
- Embrace and instill within the team, continuous improvement methodology and a culture of customer facing entrepreneurship.
- Making recommendations to, obtaining input from, and validating with regional and global Product Senior Management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Lead and manage team to deliver a superior service, Group strategy and business objectives.
- Represent the interest of team at steering committees and working Groups.
- Act as an ambassador for the team and contribute fully to its development, effectiveness, and success.
- Live the Group values.
The role requires the jobholder to have visionary thinking to identify and exploit emerging and future market trends to the commercial benefit of the business and the customer groups it serves.
The position plays an instrumental role in driving change and innovation that requires the jobholder to adopt a flexible yet resolute approach to removing hurdles to create and execute breakthrough strategies to benefit the customers and shareholders.
The jobholder should demonstrate clear and effective leadership from the outset, and to be able to create a cohesive team, both direct and functional, from several different business disciplines.
Effective understanding of the business dynamics and the cost of capital when making investment decisions is a core attribute of the role.
The ability to exercise astute commercial judgement and evaluate investment opportunities while considering the constantly changing internal and external operating environments is and will be an on-going challenging facet of the role.Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree level with a minimum of 5 years proven and progressive experience in product management, operations, or technology.
- In depth understanding of current and future industry trends relating to product development.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional or design teams.
- Proven leadership skills in complex, matrixed organizations - leading through influence and direct authority across teams and in a global organization.
- Experience in leading change and inspiring teams.
- Preferably experienced in one or more Cash Management core business lines.
- Demonstrably successful project manager in the Transaction Banking industry. Strong process reengineering/business transformation experience.
- Proven ability to create an environment that fosters learning, teaching, growth, risk-taking, and innovation.
- Solid understanding of digital and/or self-service platforms.
- Strong background in product development, or operations with hands-on technology or business transformation experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively work with multiple business partners to develop and commercialize product propositions.
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
