Equans is looking for a Social Value Manager to join the team covering Scotland and the North of England on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

This role requires travel around Our North region which includes Scotland, the Northwest and the Northeast of England.

As Social Value Manager (North) you will be member of Equans Sustainable FM Social Impact Team. Reporting to the Head of Social Impact UK & Ireland, you will collaborate with various operational teams within our North region to implement and support strategies that supports the company’s, client’s and the local community’s social value priorities and promote best social impact practices throughout our operations.

What will you deliver?

  • Liaise with clients and operational teams within our North region to deliver social impact programmes
  • Engage with local suppliers and support delivery of supply chain support programmes
  • Maintain a network of external stakeholders and community partners, to ensure that social value commitments are delivered, as outlined, meeting required deadlines and quality
  • Ensure all internal reportable data (social value Initiatives, volunteering etc) is reported accurately on the internal systems
  • Ensure client agreed social impact reportable data and reports are created and submitted in the agreed template and to the agreed timeframe
  • Identify local challenges and identify opportunities that complement our social impact programmes for employability and skills; community outreach; supply chain and spend
  • Provide case studies on activities to capture best practice
  • Champion our staff volunteering
  • Promote careers within Facilities Management
  • Liaise with Head of Social Impact to remain up to date with internal IMPACT Manifesto targets and activity and share updates from Sustainable FM
  • Lead by example in following and actively promoting the company's Fundamentals, IMPACT Manifesto, values and objectives
  • Minimise travel and ensuring efficient and sustainable transport use
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned

Who are we looking for?

  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification by experience
  • Previous experience in a social value role within the construction, energy sector, FM or related industries
  • Demonstrable experience to social value legislation
  • Knowledge of social impact methodology and best practices
  • Previous community engagement experience
  • Good influencing and communication skills
  • Ability to work on numerous projects at one time
  • Ability to work both with others as part of a team and also independently
  • Project Management: Skills in planning, executing, and overseeing projects ensure that initiatives are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Confidence in presenting to a range of audiences
  • Evidence of delivering innovation and engaging positively with continuous change and improvement
  • Competent with MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint

This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
