Job Purpose 

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work together with our internal stakeholders across Sales/Marketing/CD and other internal functions to increase effectiveness and efficiency of our Marketing Portfolio for Indonesia BU by streamlining accountabilities, building capabilities, leveraging knowledge, relationships, driving key programs under Asset Creation, Asset Deployment and Promo & Commerce in the market.

He/she needs to focus on increase efficiency of marketing sourcing by driving scale where it makes sense, decreasing fragmentation, prioritizing higher impact areas, executing global strategies, sustainability, data, and drive performance to unlock value for Unilever in this area whilst collaborating with the global procurement portfolio leads for strategy alignment.

The role will foster and build a culture of collaboration and agility to enable an efficient portfolio management. It will ensure close alignment and execution of Global strategies with CD, CSP, CMI, Marketing and Brand teams, Marketing leaders and Market Procurement teams for Indonesia for PC, HC, Nutrition and B&W.  



Responsibilities 

  • Understand the business needs related to marketing portfolio; translate the business requirements regarding the Markets in scope by working very closely with the Portfolio Strategy Leads.
  • Connect and engage with BU stakeholders in regular basis to prioritize business requirements and convert it to sourcing strategy, aligned with Unilever Compass, Procurement Lighthouse strategy and Growth Action Plan (GAP).
  • Work together with Local Stakeholders and functions (Customer Development, Finance, F4G CMI) execute the sourcing strategies, operating models, and supplier relationships that help drive 4G growth in accordance with our plans, including a focus on Responsible Sourcing strategies.
  • Improve performance delivery  of strategic vendor partner for better operational excellence and commercial structure
  • Be subject matter expert for Marketing portfolio and bring and share external, internal best practices within EMEA or other BUs
  • Deliver against financial targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) as per business plan objectives, accountable for delivery of results from all BUs and BGs
  • Implement Unilever Partner with Purpose strategy, balancing the portfolio of global and local suppliers
  • Work with the global portfolios leads to ensure alignment with strategy and implementation in the market.
  • Lead rigorous execution of the priorities and transformation initiatives across the Markets, look for development opportunities.
  • Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e., data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, quality processes etc.) are all put in place for Markets in scope
  • Drive and Lead Unmissable POSM Program execution for MET with BG, BU and Unmissable POSM Central team
  • Future proof the portfolio for the Markets by driving digital approaches, while building technology enablers to help manage selected portfolio and scope, via an impactful sustainability agenda.



All About You 

  • Relevant procurement experience of 8-10 years in indirect portfolios
  • Experience in managing complex portfolio/category, at global or multi-regional level is desired
  • Good at negotiation and contracting
  • Understanding of supply market, value-chain, and FMCG knowledge. Knowledge of marketing procurement and supply markets a strong plus.
  • Experience in strategic supplier relationship management
  • Experience on large-scale project management is a plus.

  • Proficient computer skills in Excel and PPT is preferred.
