As a Tax Manager, you will be ensuring the day-to-day tax operation in accordance with Tax laws and support Tax department.

A day in the life of Tax Manager

• Tax Filing and Compliances:
  • Prepare and ensure monthly and annual tax filing to Tax Authorities are correct and within due dates (direct and indirect tax).
  • Supervise the preparation of all tax filings for the unit (Corporate tax, VAT, Withholding tax, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance to all statutes and analyze accounting systems and evaluate all tax controls to assist to reduce taxes risk and exposure
  • Ensure all business transactions are compliance with withholding tax (including double taxation with other countries) and VAT (including update all new tax regulations). Also supporting the accountability for compliance of export-import (tax and duty payment)
• Tax Audit:
  • Ensure and manage, the tax audits and tax litigations in order to minimize the tax assessment amount. Including support export-import department for audit and other exceptional case.
  • Liaise with local tax authorities and coordinate tax audits.
  • Maintain all data requirement by Tax Auditor, use proper tools and tracker to make sure all requirement is provided.
• Tax Reporting:
  • Prepare tax account reconciliations and ensure that the tax balances are well supported with working papers.
  • Prepare of deferred tax in coordination with local corporate tax teams.
  • People Management: Manage small group people, involve on the Succession plan with the Head of Tax, Talent, Training including the capability of Tax team.
• Tax saving and continues improvement:
  • Identify tax saving opportunity, investment promotions and tax risks and mitigation.
  • Work closely with business, shares service center, group to identify and implement the process improvement and process automation.
• Liaison With External Parties: Managing communication/representation with tax authorities, external advisers, external auditors and tax/business organizations

What will make you successful

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Taxation. Relevant master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• 5 years’ experience as the tax manager and involve in a tax preparation or advisory role in multinational company or with professional firm and leading tax disputes with tax authorities
• Fluent in Bahasa and English
• Extensive experience in tax management role in Nestle, and or another multinational company or with external consultants.
• Ideally some experience in tax consulting with a leading advisory company, and or corporate or share service center is advantages
• Hold brevet certificate from Indonesian Tax Consultant Association or other similar institution is preferred
• Holding SAP Finance is advantages
• Detailed, accurate and organized
• Independent player and self-driven but able to work in a team
• Good knowledge in operating the MS Office, especially excel, power query, and power BI is advantages
• Good in analytical and communication skills
