The Technical Specialist II (m/f/d) is responsible for supporting sales staff and customers in this industry. As part of a diverse team of experts, you will work on projects to find optimal solutions that meet performance and cost targets.

This position reports to the SLS Sr. Manager and is part of the SLS (Scientific Laboratory Services) global food and beverage technical support team and can be based in Jakarta, Indonesia, working remotely to cover Indonesia region. Our motto is to provide unbiased technical support to our customers and help them produce the best food and beverage products.

In this role you have the opportunity to:

• The Technical Specialist II is part of the SLS group in the Pall Indonesia F&B division, with a focus on providing customers with filtration and separation solutions, and technical support.
• He/she will be required to work closely with internal and external customers, providing technical guidance/troubleshooting/technical solutions to optimize system processes and ensure best practice in various food and beverage applications.
  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Provide comprehensive technical support and technology leadership across all F&B markets for internal and external customers within Indonesia F&B, which includes but is not limited to; conducting trials in a laboratory setting and at customers’ sites, addressing customers’ technical enquiries, training of customers/sales, technical reporting, presentations, problem solving: 80%.
• Manage projects in support of customers, both internal and external, to maintain and develop new business opportunities: 5%
• Design and develop technical based training to deliver to internal and external clients, which will include general and advanced product concepts, application specific, instructional tools and hands on practical exercises: 5%
• Liaise with marketing and R&D to manage projects in support of new product development by working closely with R&D and lead alpha and beta site testing for new applications: 5%.
• Manage SLS laboratory operations and ensure compliance to all applicable health and safety standards as required: 5%.
  
  

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role:

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including domestic and international travel to customers, internal meetings, and technical conferences/exhibits.
• Experience in a liquid processing production environment and with laboratory equipment.
• Class B driving license and willingness to travel (~50%) to customer sites and other Pall locations worldwide.
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• University degree (or equivalent), MSc. Or PhD in Science/Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5 – 7 years relevant work experience (e.g., in a liquid processing production environment and with laboratory equipment).
• Expert knowledge in certain Food & Beverage applications or technologies.
• Excellent technical writing skills and verbal communication.
