ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Area Business Manager – Kaltaratimtengsel to lead business growth across one of our territories and accelerate business growth through strong commercial leadership, distributor partnerships, and execution excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to build a winning business, develop high-performing teams, and create meaningful impact in a dynamic market.

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

Lead sustainable growth across the territories by strengthening market execution, expanding business opportunities, and developing strong distributor and sales capabilities that drive long-term competitive advantage.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver Business Growth

Deliver sales, revenue, and market share targets across the area.

Identify growth opportunities and drive business expansion.

Develop and execute area business plans to accelerate growth.

2. Drive Excellent Execution

Ensure strong execution across channels, outlets, and sales activities.

Improve outlet coverage, distribution, and sales force effectiveness.

Monitor performance and take action to close gaps.

3. Build Strong Distributor Partnerships

Develop high-performing distributor partnerships.

Strengthen distributor capability and execution standards.

Drive alignment on business priorities and performance targets.

4. Lead and Develop the Team

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.

Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Strengthen team capability and talent pipeline.

5. Grow Market Presence

Expand distribution and strengthen outlet penetration.

Identify local opportunities to grow our brands and business.

Turn market insights into actions that deliver growth.

6. Manage Resources Effectively

Optimize the use of people, assets, and commercial investments.

Ensure resources are allocated to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.

CANDIDATE CRITERIA

• Bachelor's Degree from any discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in FMCG Sales, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
• Strong experience in distributor management and General Trade channel.
• Proven track record of delivering business growth, market expansion, and execution excellence.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed territories and complex route-to-market environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth, execution, and profitability.
• Demonstrated capability in coaching and developing high-performing sales teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience managing both traditional trade and modern trade channels is preferred.
• Willingness to be based in Balikpapan and travel regularly across Kalimantan.
