Communications Officer - Technical Assistance for "SDG Indonesia One"

Job description

As part of a technical assistance programme to the Indonesian fund PT SMI, Ginger SOFRECO is seeking to recruit a Communications Officer for a mission combining capacity-building activities with project preparation studies.

The Communications Officer supports all activities carried out under the programme, with a particular focus on developing communication and visibility actions aimed at promoting the Project and highlighting its impacts and achievements.

The assignment is planned for a maximum duration of 6 months, mobilised partly or fully on-site in Indonesia.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Communication;
• Fluent in English;
• Understanding of Indonesian language is an asset.

Professional experience:

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in institutional communication, including a proven track record managing communications for EU-funded or multilateral donor-financed projects (AFD, EIB, World Bank, etc.);
• Experience managing and/or developing a communication plan with a minimum budget of EUR 100,000 for a financial institution;
• Experience in South-East Asia, ideally Indonesia, is a strong asset;
• Demonstrated ability to deliver the full editorial and visual production chain — communication strategy, print materials, digital content, institutional and field videos, and reporting — with proficiency in graphic design and video production tools;
• Sound understanding of climate finance, the SDGs, and blended finance mechanisms, with the ability to translate complex technical content into accessible messaging for diverse audiences.
