Financial Controller

Our client is a boutique hospitality group located in Bingin, Uluwatu, Bali, operating an exclusive clifftop villa and dining concept overlooking the ocean. They are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations of the property.

The Financial Controller is responsible for all financial operations of the hotel and restaurant, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, inventory integrity, cash protection, cost management, and profitability optimisation, while acting as a financial business partner to operations and ownership.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international hotel brands or well-established hospitality groups.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller, or similar leadership role.
• Previous experience in an international luxury environment, high-volume F&B operation, beach club, or multi-outlet restaurant is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of F&B cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience using POS systems, inventory systems, and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian tax requirements, financial compliance, and internal control procedures.
• Strong operational presence with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chefs, purchasing, and operations.
• High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ability to drive accountability and financial discipline.
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee overall financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, effective internal controls, cash protection, cost management, and profitability optimisation.
• Prepare and analyse monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports, and weekly financial performance reports covering revenue, labor cost, and food cost.
• Monitor financial performance against budget, lead budgeting and forecasting processes, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage F&B cost control, including recipe costing, menu engineering analysis, food and beverage cost monitoring, supplier price review, and gross profit improvement initiatives.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, including stock counts, purchase reconciliation, inventory usage monitoring, and stock audits.
• Identify cost leakage, waste, spoilage, process weaknesses, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, daily POS revenue reconciliation, discounts, voids, promotions, and revenue protection processes.
• Ensure proper segregation of duties, conduct audits and spot checks, and maintain strong financial control practices.
• Manage accounting systems, POS integrations, tax compliance, external audits, and internal financial policies.
• Lead and develop the finance team while promoting accountability, transparency, and financial awareness across departments.
