Tasks
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant & Finance Manager with direct experience managing the finances of an import-focused business in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will be confident in landed cost accounting, VAT and withholding tax compliance, and end-to-end financial operations, including bookkeeping, reporting, and supplier payments.
You will be the primary finance contact in the company, supported by our logistics and admin team, and report directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.
Record all transactions (domestic & international), reconcile accounts.
Issue sales invoices and track receivables.
Handle multi-currency transactions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
Manage local and international supplier payments.
Track incoming shipments and match costs to supplier invoices.
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Analyze spending trends and assist with budget planning.
Report key financial insights to management.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Calculate and file VAT (PPN), PPh 21, PPh 23, and Corporate Income Tax.
Ensure accurate VAT allocation on imported goods.
Liaise with tax consultants in Indonesia and Dubai.
Import Costing & Inventory
Allocate landed costs: import duties, freight, customs clearance, etc.
Manage COGS and inventory valuations accurately.
Reconcile stock movements and cost adjustments in Zoho Inventory.
Zoho System Oversight
Oversee entries and accuracy in Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory.
Recommend system improvements and automation opportunities.
Internal Controls & Payroll
Ensure compliance with financial SOPs and internal controls.
Support monthly payroll, BPJS administration, and expense reimbursements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in full-cycle accounting, ideally in an import-heavy business.
- Strong understanding of landed cost allocation, VAT on imports, and cross-border payments.
- Familiar with Indonesian tax laws and compliance.
- Proficient in Zoho or similar cloud-based accounting tools.
- Strong communication skills; fluent in Bahasa, working English proficiency.
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and reliable.
