What you will do
The Calibration Engineer is responsible for performing and coordinating routine and non-routine calibration activities, evaluating and updating calibration standard operating procedures, and ensuring the calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment. You will also lead in establishing calibration and test methods for new and existing equipment and act as the field lead for contracted calibration technicians:
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop calibration procedures for various systems and components in alignment with the Job Title and Role
- Perform calibration testing and analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve calibration issues
- Maintain and update calibration records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve calibration processes
- Develop and maintain calibration procedures for production and facility instrumentation.
- Identify and prioritize calibration needs for manufacturing equipment.
- Lead the establishment of calibration and test methods for new and existing equipment.
- Ensure the calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment.
- Coordinate and perform routine and non-routine calibration activities.
- Evaluate and update calibration standard operating procedures.
- Suggest and implement improvements to existing standard operating procedures for calibration methods and systems.
- Act as the field lead for contracted calibration technicians and ensure their quality and productivity is consistently high.
- Ensure that calibration activities are performed in a professional and efficient manner to minimize equipment and/or line down time.
- Check reports on calibration failures and take corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in calibration or related field.
- Associates Degree or Equivalent in Engineering or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of calibration methods and systems.
- Experience in leading and training calibration technicians.
- Proficient in using calibration equipment and software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
