POSITION DETAILS

We are looking for a motivated and creative Communications Intern to join our team in Indonesia. This role will provide valuable experience in supporting Delterra's communications and media outreach while contributing to our mission of solving environmental challenges. The Communications Intern will report to Senior Partnership Lead and collaborate closely with other team members across the program.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Development (40%)

• Create insightful and engaging content for Delterra Indonesia's social media channels, including Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Draft blog posts, newsletters, and articles to showcase Delterra's work and impact.
• Assist in crafting visual and written storytelling assets to promote programs and initiatives.
  
  

Events (25%)

• Research and recommend opportunities for Delterra's participation in conferences, forums, and other industry-related events.Provide logistical support for internal and external events, including preparing materials and coordinating stakeholders.
  
  

Media Relations (15%)

• Monitor relevant media for topics related to waste management, circularity, and sustainability.
• Respond to media inquiries and build relationships with journalists to promote Delterra's initiatives effectively.
  
  

Fundraising Support (20%)

• Provide administrative and organizational support to the fundraising team, including updating and maintaining a database of partners and donors.
• Assist in coordinating meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with existing and prospective stakeholders.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• A strong passion and interest in environmental issues, sustainability, and waste management is highly desirable.
• Student or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Experience with social media management and content creation is preferred.
• Experience with event organizing/coordination or logistics is a plus.
• Proactive, organized, and able to work independently in a remote set up.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), task management and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.
