Industrial Engineering Engineer

Functional description

Collaborate and support the coordination of plant productivity and efficiency program (PEP) and deployment of Critical Manufacturing, Manufacturing Execution System (CM MES). Additional task as assigned.

Tasks and responsibilities

A. Project and improvement

1. Support / lead productivity projects and CM MES deployment as assigned.
2. Perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes.

• Operational time study for labor and machine minutes using REFA methodology.
• Support Time Study as per standard requirement to ensure SAP data accuracy with actual process.
• Support the execution of audit of BOM and Routing
• Material consumption study.

3. Conduct process mapping, time study, analysis and modelling, optimization of procedures, shop-floor layout and operations and process efficiency and effectiveness

B. Reporting

1. Time study report, BOM and Routing report to ensure accuracy prior to update in SAP.
2. Regular reporting as assigned such as KPI reporting.
3. Verify and report PEP savings.
4. Yearly capacity calculation coordination and reporting.
5. Use CM MES and other sources as data for reporting using visual analytic tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.

C. System (SAP)

1. Lead regular reviews of BOM and Routing to ensure accuracy, correctness, and completeness.
2. Lead and verify all time study results for new released, improved, and changed materials and processes.
3. Work closely with SAP Master Data controller to ensure accurate and complete BOM & Routing updated.

Cooperation / adjustment with project leaders of other internal departments within BT TPS

Requirements

Education:

Require technical diploma (engineering discipline)

Experience:

Manufacturing at least 2 years with technical diploma (fresh graduate with engineering degree welcome)

Lean and Six Sigma (basic level)

Project management (basic level)

Knowledge of Time Study standard (REFA/ MTM)

Knowledge:

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or/and Project)

Minitab (basic)

Fluent Business English both in speaking and writing.

SAP (basic)

Statistical analysis (basic)

Personal attributes:

Able to lead a team (internal or cross-functional) or work independently.

Good communication and interpersonal skill

Good presentation ability

Driven and result oriented.
