Job Summary

We are searching for a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. The material may consist of camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. As this is a remote position, the successful candidate will be required to work independently while maintaining communication with our creative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
• Create rough and final cuts.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
• Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a video editor.
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve, etc)
• demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
• Creative mindset and storytelling skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Since this is a remote position, candidates should have a suitable home office environment, equipped with fast internet connection and appropriate hardware and software for video editing. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
