What you will be doing.

As our Naval Architect, you will work as part of a team to support with duties including but not limited to design, review, calculations and analysis for various Naval Architectural elements pertaining to Offshore/Marine structures. In addition, you will:

• Prepare design analyses, concept and detail, for various fixed / floating offshore structures in accordance with international codes and standards.
• Conduct calculations for design and plan appraisal purposes.
• Assess stability of offshore/marine structures.
• Support delivery of project specific Deliverables.
• Ensure projects meet client requirements and classification rules and regulations.
• Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required.
• Ensure all deliverables is carried out in accordance with the companies policies and procedures.
• Participate in design reviews, audits and Naval Architectural related reviews. Evaluate and prepares concept selection reports and basis for design.
• Identify own training requirements to maintain continued professional development.
• And other duties as assigned.
• Always comply with the company QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites.

THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN BATAM, INDONESIA. The role is primarily office based but requirement for onsite and offshore attendance and time with clients

What we are looking for.

We are looking for a driven and solution-oriented professional with sound technical skills and good decision-making capabilities. The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership ability, and be able to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously. In addition, you will:

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, structural analysis, and design principles.
• Ability to apply engineering principles, mathematics, and system design techniques.
• Experience with structural analysis of marine and offshore structures.
• Well-organized, proactive, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

• Naval Architect (RINA) or engineering equivalent.
