Senior Staff Engineer, Lead Frame Development

• Drive new lead frame concept and design to implementation, perform risk assessment of new lead frame material, concept and design at package assembly process and supplier process.
• Early involvement with R&D project teams in terms of piece part sourcing and qualification.
• Drive Best in Cost Design, Technology and Material selection (design for manufacturing) to meet road map requirements.
• Support R&D projects and manufacturing in cost reduction programs in terms of alternate sourcing, change of material, design changes etc.
• Responsible for improvement programs, work with suppliers to resolve technology, quality and delivery issue.
• Conduct supplier audit and document piece part specification and regulatory to meet qualification.
• Conducts engineering change review for any piece part and supplier related change.
• Manage and own piece part incoming quality inspection, escalation and work with supplier to resolve quality issues.
• Work with material purchaser on Supplier Evaluation.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of experience in lead frame manufacturing processes (e.g., metal stamping, metal rolling, copper etching, copper roughening, and chemical processes).
• Extensive expertise in driving and managing suppliers to achieve quality and delivery objectives.
• Strong knowledge of incoming quality control methodologies and a comprehensive understanding of lead frame manufacturing processes, including their associated defects.
• Proficiency in mechanical drawing interpretation, AutoCAD, FMEA, statistical tools, Six Sigma, 8D, and 5-Why methodologies.
• Familiarity with material characterization analysis methods and the ability to interpret results is preferred.
• A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
