The WebGen & Underground Solutions - Lead is responsible delivery of key strategic initiatives focussed on delivering measurable value to customers and sustainable revenue, development of differentiated offerings and proposals to be included in significant account tenders, delivery of new technology and applications to the region, internal and external technical training programs and knowledge management and developing, tracking, reporting & supporting/executing differentiation and new technology pipelines and technical value delivery projects for the region What you will be doing
  • Provides strategic initiatives, project management and delivery support for technical value adding customer initiatives and differentiation/ new technology project pipelines prioritised with the Senior Manager – Advanced Blasting Solutions and regions
  • Identifies customer needs and customer value from our initiatives including running internal and external customer forums
  • Develops tailored solutions and define value to customers and Orica Project manages across specified region, including planning, monitor progress, measure benefits and report on assigned initiatives
  • Monitors technical project pipeline between regions to enable prioritisation of workload and ensure focus on key strategic target projects
  • Provides high level technical support and advice to infield business teams including project management, risk assessments, blast designs, modelling, project execution
  • Measures, reports and communicates (case studies/technical papers etc.) value & benefit delivered to customers associated with Orica technical projects
  • Assists in the development of technology associated value-based proposals
  • Assists TS teams in the training, implementation and value definition of new technologies and solutions to Orica customer sites with a particular focus on WebGen and our Underground Solutions
  • Provides support in winning Greenfield, Competitor held or Significant Accounts: Manages customer forums, drill and blast studies, baselining and identification of customer value drivers
  • Monitors Business Development pipeline between regions to enable prioritisation of workload and ensure focus on key strategic target customers Identifies opportunities for providing differentiated offerings leveraging Orica’s technology, services and know-how Assists to develop commercial offers with customer risk / reward and value delivery mechanisms
  • Develops Technical Method Statements for key tender responses & present value adding offerings to customers
  • Provides high level technical input into new product, technologies & service offerings e.g. customer needs, UNS, value to customers, benefit measurement systems
  • Develops new applications of Orica products, technology and solutions in the industry
  • Provides support with customer meetings and forums
  • Manages key stakeholder relationships with Technology Managers, Consultants, Research Organisations, Technology Providers and Universities Assists with development and maintenance of SEB course content and assist with delivery of advanced SEB blasting courses in areas of expertise
  • Publishes and presents papers at professional conferences in line with Orica differentiation strategy
What you will bring
  • Minimum 8 years experience post professional qualification, including 5 years of direct people management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream.
  • Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships
  • Financial accumen & budgeting experience.
  • Good understanding of Mining Safety Management System Aspect by always prioritizing Safety Value.
