Job Description
- Own and define the overall infrastructure strategy, including long-term architecture and platform evolution
- Lead the design and operation of cloud infrastructure across compute, networking, and storage
- Drive architectural decisions, capacity planning, and cost optimisation initiatives
- Establish and maintain strong SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management
- Ensure high availability and low-latency performance for real-time systems
- Embed security best practices into infrastructure, including IAM, secrets management, and network security
- Develop and implement robust disaster recovery and failover strategies
- Build, mentor, and scale Infrastructure, SRE, and Platform Engineering teams
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Compliance to align infrastructure with business and regulatory requirements
- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Strong background in high-traffic, distributed systems and performance optimisation
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Solid understanding of observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing)
- Strong knowledge of security fundamentals (IAM, encryption, secure system design)
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams
- Strong decision-making ability balancing performance, reliability, security, and cost
- Experience in fintech, trading systems, or crypto is highly advantageous
