Position Responsibilities

  • Build a relationship with the identified Regional and Branch Manager Key contacts.
  • Develop those relationships such that he is trusted for his knowledge, commitment, honesty and willingness to support and develop their business with Manulife.
  • Work with key contacts to develop a workable plan that clearly outlines the objectives of the business, identifies the development needs of the business and specifies the work Manulife can undertake to support the achievement of the development needs, with agreed timelines and measures of success.
  • Understand and then take ownership for the delivery of the Bank annual sales, business and marketing plans.
  • Train, develop and motivate the IS team and branch sales staff to produce the business volumes required. Continually seek to identify knowledge and skill development needs, and then plan and deliver appropriate, detailed product and selling skill training.
  • Help the Bank to coordinate all sales activities, maximizing incentive programs and sales contests to produce the results. Understand all contests operating in all banks in order that good ideas/successful contests are shared.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the bank’s branch managers to assist them in their individual and branch targets.
  • Work with Manulife back office functions to assist with all Bank related issues for all applications received until policy issue and acceptance.
  • Work on own initiative and take personal responsibility for the Bank performance.
  • Act professionally at all times, working with honesty and integrity and recognize the need always for complete confidentiality. Uphold the Manulife Corporate values.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent business qualification.
  • Experience of at least 2 years and preferably 3-5 years gained in a Financial Services organization, likely to be a Bank or Bank Assurance Division is preferable.
  • Specifically would have sales management experience or if not, have held a people management position in Training Department.
  • Can demonstrate strong self-confidence and motivational ability. Also able to demonstrate periods of employment working under own initiative to achieve results.
